BIO – EDWARD CAMPBELL
aka b-boy Funk-E.

My family’s nickname is Eddie. My crewmates said I have a funky soul. I am raised by a soul, disco, Latino, and reggae musical background by my parents.

I’m a graphic designer and b-boy from Panama, Republic of Panama. I am living in Calgary, Canada, since December 2014.
I have been a breaking student from the 2000s until the present of 2019.
Since 2003 member and founder of the crew “Full Style crew.”
One of the oldest breaking groups in Panama, that still represents Central America Hip Hop Culture by giving back knowledge through youth community programs.

FullSyle Crew started with 7 members b-boys (dancers), and through the years, we added new members such as Mcs, Graffiti writers, and a Dj. Who brought more hip hop knowledge to the group becoming FullStyle Family.

As a dancer, my sharing interest is the values of this fantastic dance called breaking. Dance can make a connection with people without a range of ages, religions, or ethnicity.

Breaking taught with positive values has the power of developing a healthy balanced lifestyle in human beings through a fun physical activi- ty. With my group, we have been teaching this dance to difficult risk neighborhoods and regular ones.
Teaching discipline, respect, share methods, teamwork, and helping them to build for themselves better way out of comfort zones to embrace the full potential.

We developed programs such as Back 2 da Scene.
A Panamanian crew competition supported by the United States embassy in Panama, and the Municipal House of Panama to bring interna- tional dancers who can teach higher dance skills to Panama active breaking scene. Also, with full style family delivering dance workshops all over the country to difficult access neighborhoods in Panama as a planner and teacher.

Theather experience with the cultural activist Sie-Jie Huang founder of the organization” Pensamiento Puro,” local contemporary dancers, and the Panamanian Hip Hop culture we developed “4 Elementos”.
The first Hip Hop theater in Panama, in which I play the role of Art director and Storyline Writer.

I give workshops in Panama, USA, and Costa Rica. Since 2014 to my arrival to Canada has been sharing with the Alberta Dance Communi- ty to beginners and intermediates dancers with my dance experience and international competitions.

As a graphic designer, I have learned to create visuals, a skill I love to blend with dance for delivering movement experience, history, and creatives keys for growth goal setting.

Hip Hop culture taught us knowledge of living in peace, love each other, and having fun even tho is a very physical and dynamic style. Currently, teaching Beginner Hip Hop and Breaking to Albertan youth and adults at Pulse Studios, Dc Dance Club, in Calgary. Pound it hip hop studio in red deer. Seasonal Classes at Studio Me Okotoks, and Natives Reserves.

Dance styles I enjoy teaching: Hip Hop Beginner, Breaking Beginner – Intermediate. Dance styles I enjoy: Breaking, Hip Hop, Popping, House, Salsa and Merengue.

Part of local Calgarian crews as People’s Militia and Next of Kin.
